Summerwind is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business based in Mississippi. Established in 2007, Summerwind conducts analysis and develops software planning tools/applications, “how-to“ instructions, techniques and procedures, handbooks, manuals, and graphic training aids for the protection of US forces.
The Summerwind team has over 300 years of combined experience and is comprised of physicists, engineers, computer scientists and US Army and Marine Corps combat engineers and force protection veterans.

Performance History
Over 225,000 Summerwind-developed ERDC handbooks/guides have been distributed to US/NATO forces and have been adopted by US Central Command and incorporated into the curriculum for the US Army and Marine Corps Engineer and Military Police schools and Antiterrorism Level II courses
- Created 21 cutting-edge ERDC software decision-support tools that have been downloaded over 20,000 times by protection officers from all services
- Produced the ERDC Force Protection Portal to provide users access to all ERDC force protection products; Portal has over 6,000 registered users and averages 20-25 new users per month
- Conducted over 80 antiterrorism/physical security assessments
- Provided thousands of stand-alone and hard copy version of FP products to US force worldwide
